LOCATION: 80th and Indiana, Arvada
ABOUT THE KIDS: Little guy welcomed early March
HOURS NEEDED: 18-20 hours per week. Ideally Thursday and Friday 8 am to 5 or 6 pm. The family can be flexible on what two days per week if needed.
PAY RATE: $15 to $18 per hour, taxes are withheld
ADDITIONAL DUTIES: Expectations include tidying up after the days’ activities; baby-related tasks only. It would be great if the nanny was willing to unload the dishwasher occasionally but not required. If the nanny enjoys cooking and wants to prepare meals, a bonus but not expected.
WHAT THEY ARE LOOKING FOR: This inclusive family is looking for a part-time nanny starting the week of May 29th. The start date is flexible for the right person. Preferably, they would like someone who could commit to a minimum of one year. The perfect nanny is someone who is communicative, organized, playful, energetic and mature. In Mom and Dad’s professional lives, following a structure and a schedule is helpful. They would like to extend that into this relationship as well. They are in need of someone who is punctual, experienced, and a nanny who is willing to promote child development. Going out for walks is encouraged, weather permitting. Exploratory activities such as museums, etc. are supported and will be compensated for. A few days per week Dad works from home; when Mom is not traveling, she too will be working from the family’s home office. The nanny will be fully responsible for the baby during the day while Mom and Dad are working. When Mom travels, if the nanny had flexibility to help overnight, that would be great but it is not required. These new parents hope the nanny can provide tips and suggestions as this will be their first little one! They fully recognize a nanny as a professional. They’ve read the book Happiest Baby on the Block, and are interested in the philosophy. They would like their child to self soothe eventually and do not anticipate an attachment style parenting.
COMMENTS: If the nanny is interested in furthering their education as a nanny, the family is happy to pay for ongoing classes such as baby sign, introducing solids, sleep groups, etc. That’s a great perk of this job! Paid time off is negotiable; the family will compensate the nanny for anytime the nanny is not needed. The candidate must have a safe and reliable vehicle to use on the job. Being current on vaccinations is mandatory.Click here to apply
